Meet the Principal
Principal Scott Christy
Scott Christy, To know him is to love him. He is fondly known for these coined phrases, "Gooood morning Columbine!" and "Thank you for making Columbine what it is, which is, THE. BEST. SCHOOL. ON THE PLANET." Students know him by his active involvement and steady presence at most any event related to Columbine. He will encourage every student from the moment they walk through the doors for the first time to get involved in at least one of the many clubs, activities, or athletic opportunities the school has to offer.
His love for students, his competitive nature and drive to keep students safe and successful is by far one of the best attributes to Columbine High School. With over 25 years in education, 15 years at Columbine and 7 of those as Principal he is passionate about preparing every student for whatever they choose to do after high school whether that is college, career, trade school, or the military while providing them with a challenging and engaging high school experience. He strives to provide each student with a high school experience in which they feel cared for and valued as a member of the Columbine family.
He knew as soon as he first started working at Columbine that it is a special place as he says that the culture and community is unlike any other school he has ever been a part of. He loves Columbine and one of his goals is for every student to love it and to proud that they are, and always will be, a Rebel.
