College Opportunity Fund – A state stipend for Colorado undergraduate students
- The Denver Foundation scholarship applications are open now through February 28, 2025. This includes both the Columbine Memorial Scholarship and the Never Forgotten Scholarship, along with many additional opportunities through the Foundation’s Universal Application.
- How the Application Works
The Denver Foundation now uses a Universal Application, linked below. You’ll create one account, complete one main application, and the system will automatically match you to all scholarships for which you qualify. You can save your work and return to it any time.

- The Columbine Memorial Scholarship supports engaged students from the Jefferson County School District who have made a positive impact in their school or community. This scholarship typically awards around $2,500, and applications close 2/28/2025.
Eligibility
- Graduating from a public high school in Jefferson County
- Minimum 2.5 unweighted GPA
- Planning to attend an accredited university, college, community college, or technical school in the U.S. this fall

Established to honor the 13 victims of April 20, 1999, the Never Forgotten Scholarship seeks to support students who carry on their legacy through meaningful service and leadership. This scholarship typically awards $5,000, and applications close 2/28/2025.
Eligibility
- Graduating from a Denver metro area high school
- U.S. citizen or permanent legal resident
- Minimum 3.0 unweighted GPA
- Strong record of school and community involvement
- Planning to attend an accredited college or university full-time next academic year
- Selection Criteria
- Commitment to community service
- Engagement in school and/or the broader community
- Demonstrated leadership skills
