This course follows Jeffco Geometry Bridge to Curriculum, while simultaneously linking math to real-life applications in the construction world. Mathematical reasoning, modeling, problem-solving and communication are developed throughout the following units of study: expressing geometric properties with equations, congruence, similarity, right triangles and trig, quadrilaterals and polygons, probability and statistics, circles, geometric measurement and dimension.
On the construction side, students use math to read blueprints, calculate material lists and build items that are intended for sale to the public.
