Computer Science

This introductory course is one semester in length. Students gain a better understanding of key concepts in computing, including hardware, data and coding.

A full-year class that is equivalent to a college-level introduction to computer science course.  Students learn how the Internet works, how computing affects our society and fundamental concepts in programming, including using variables, iteration, and abstraction to write algorithms.

This full-year course is designed to expose students to the fundamental aspects of information security, while encouraging them to make responsible, ethical decisions. There are frequent opportunities to explore educational and career paths in this rapidly growing field. The four main units of study are personal security, system security, network security and applied cybersecurity.
